The game between second ranked Knox Raiders (10-2) and seventh ranked Tigers (9-5) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Knox Raiders were defeated by Tigers in a tough game in Wantirna South 72-78. Tigers made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Knox Raiders helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Zitina Aokuso (192-98) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Monique Conti (165-99) chipped in 15 points. Leah Santomaggio produced 26 points and forward Klara Wischer (185-91, college: San Diego) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Tigers maintains seventh place in League with 9-5 record. Knox Raiders at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. Tigers are looking forward to face league's leader Frankston Blues in Seaford in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Knox Raiders will play on the road against Lady Cobras in Kilsyth and are hoping to win this game.
