No shocking result in a game in Heathmont where tenth ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (7-7) won against 13th ranked Ringwood Hawks (5-8) 97-88 on Saturday. Diamond Valley Eagles made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Robert Heath fired 29 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) for the winners. Kenyan power forward Desmond OWili (203-88) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. Four Diamond Valley Eagles players scored in double figures. Naturalized American guard CJ Asuncion-Byrd (194-96, college: LeMoyne) produced 28 points and 6 rebounds and center Adrien Sturt (209-86, college: Snow CC) added 21 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Diamond Valley Eagles maintains tenth position in League with 7-7 record. Loser Ringwood Hawks keep the thirteenth place with eight games lost. Diamond Valley Eagles will meet Spectres (#11) in the next round. Ringwood Hawks will play again against Diamond Valley Eagles and hope to secure a win.
