Regular Season Round 23: Willetton T. - SW Slammers 102-74

There was no surprise in Willetton where 14th ranked Slammers (3-14) were outplayed by fourth ranked Tigers (13-5) 102-74 on Friday. Tigers forced 27 Slammers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized Scottish power forward Michael Vigor (206-90) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Thomas Gerovich (200-4) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Tigers players scored in double figures. Caleb Van De Griend produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and forward Travis Vogel (201-0) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigers moved-up to third place in League. Loser Slammers keep the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Tigers will meet at home Buccaneers (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Slammers will play against Cougars in Hamilton Hill and hope to secure a win.
