No shocking result in a game in Mt. Barker where sixth ranked North Adelaide Rockets (9-8) defeated bottom-ranked Eastern Mavericks (0-17) 114-99 on Saturday. North Adelaide Rockets outrebounded Eastern Mavericks 48-34 including 35 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Jack McVeigh (203-96, college: Nebraska) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Jimma Dau (201) who added 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. North Adelaide Rockets' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Tom Cromarty with 34 points (!!!) and 9 assists and naturalized South Sudanese guard Lual Diing (203-94, college: TxWes) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Five North Adelaide Rockets and four Eastern Mavericks players scored in double figures. North Adelaide Rockets moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Eastern Mavericks still closes the standings with 17 games lost.
