Regular Season Round 4: Sydney - Tasmania JJ 83-71
Date: December 22, 2021
Everything could happen in Sydney at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Kings and 9th ranked JackJumpers had identical 2-3 record. This time Kings used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Hobart 83-71. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jarell Martin (208-94, college: LSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and guard Shaun Bruce (190-91) who added 11 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Kings players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Josh Magette (185-89, college: UAH) responded with 13 points and the former international swingman Clint Steindl (200-89, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 15 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Kings went down to fifth position due to points difference. JackJumpers lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the ninth place with four games lost. Kings will play against league's second-placed Illawarra Hawks in Gwynneville in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. JackJumpers will play at home against United (#4) and hope to get back on the winning track.
