Very expected game in Hobart where 9th ranked JackJumpers (2-5) were defeated by fourth ranked United (4-2) 76-72 on Saturday. United outrebounded JackJumpers 39-27 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naturalized Sudanese center Jo Lual-Acuil Jr (213-94, college: Baylor) stepped up and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Nigerian-Canadian guard Caleb Agada (196-94, college: Ottawa, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four United players scored in double figures. American guard Josh Adams (188-93, college: Wyoming) responded with 23 points and the other American import point guard Josh Magette (185-89, college: UAH) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. United have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Newly promoted JackJumpers keep the ninth position with five games lost. United will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. JackJumpers will play on the road against Melbourne Phoenix (#4) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
