The most exciting game of round 8 in the NBL took place in Brisbane. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Bullets (4-5) to first ranked United (8-2) 84-82 on Wednesday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Matthew Dellavedova (193-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Sudanese center Jo Lual-Acuil Jr (213-94, college: Baylor) who added 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and international guard Nathan Sobey (190-90, college: Wyoming) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. United have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-2 record. Bullets at the other side keep the fifth place with five games lost. United are looking forward to face Adelaide 36ers (#7) in Findon in the next round where they are favorite. Bullets will play at home against Melbourne Phoenix and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
