Another exciting game was played in Gwynneville between second ranked Perth Wildcats and 4th placed Illawarra Hawks where Perth Wildcats (7-3) beat Illawarra Hawks (6-4) on the road 94-80. Perth Wildcats made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Perth Wildcats had a 33-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for guard Bryce Cotton (182-92, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with 28 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Victor Law (201-95, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Perth Wildcats' coach Scott Morrison allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Antonius Cleveland (196-94, college: SEMO) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds and guard Tyler Harvey (194-93, college: EWU) added 16 points in the effort for Illawarra Hawks. Four Illawarra Hawks players scored in double figures. Perth Wildcats maintains second place with 7-3 record behind leader Melbourne. Illawarra Hawks at the other side keep the fourth position with four games lost. Perth Wildcats will play against Kings (#5) in Sydney in the next round. Illawarra Hawks will play on the road against Bullets in Brisbane and hope to get back on the winning track.
