Guests from Canberra (6-3) defeated host Adelaide Lightning (5-2) 80-67. Forward Mikaela Ruef (191-90, college: Stanford) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Brittney Sykes (175-94, college: Syracuse) contributed with 13 points, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The former international forward Alanna Smith (193-96, college: Stanford) answered with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and the former international forward Stephanie Talbot (188-94) added 11 points and 8 assists in the effort for Adelaide Lightning. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canberra Capitals have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Adelaide Lightning at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Perth.
