Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked New Zealand Breakers (3-9) were outscored by sixth ranked Kings (6-7) in Sydney 84-65 on Sunday. Kings dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to New Zealand Breakers' 20. They outrebounded New Zealand Breakers 45-26 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naturalized Canadian guard Dejan Vasiljevic (190-97, college: Miami, FL) notched 23 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard Jaylen Adams (188-96, college: St.Bonaventure) supported him with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 16 points and 5 rebounds by New Zealand forward Yannick Wetzell (208-96, college: SDSU) did not help to save the game for New Zealand Breakers. French swingman Ousmane Dieng (201-3) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Four New Zealand Breakers players scored in double figures. New Zealand Breakers' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Kings maintains sixth position with 6-7 record. Loser New Zealand Breakers stay at the bottom place with nine games lost.
