Very expected game in Bulleen where Devils were crushed by Boomers 76-57 on Saturday. Boomers forced 21 Devils turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized British forward Louella Tomlinson (193-1988, college: St.Mary's, CA) who scored 11 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks. Guard Annabel Deerbon (180, college: HBU) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Boomers players scored in double figures. Boomers' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Amanda Paschal (170-1996, college: Kentucky, agency: DC Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and her fellow American import swingman Lauren Jones (178-2003, college: Austin Peay) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Boomers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Devils will play against Hume City Broncos in Tullamarine and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
