Rather predictable result in Findon where fifth ranked JackJumpers (13-11) defeated 8th ranked Adelaide 36ers (7-15) 80-72 on Friday. JackJumpers outrebounded Adelaide 36ers 44-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Josh Adams (188-1993, college: Wyoming) who scored 31 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Jack McVeigh (203-1996, college: Nebraska) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Daniel Johnson (212-1988, college: Pepperdine) who recorded 16 points and the former international guard Sunday Dech (195-1994, college: Barry) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. JackJumpers have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted JackJumpers maintains fifth position with 13-11 record. Loser Adelaide 36ers dropped to the ninth place with 15 games lost. JackJumpers will meet Cairns Taipans (#8) on the road in the next round. Adelaide 36ers will play against Melbourne Phoenix and hope to secure a win.
