An interesting game was also home loss of Bankstown Bruins in a game in Condell Park versus undefeated Bandits (#1) 92-80. Bandits forced 19 Bankstown Bruins turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Branden Jenkins (196-1994, college: TxWes) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. Center Duom Dawam (208) accounted for 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Worth to mention Jenkins played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Center Nathaniel Musters (208-1993, college: Lafayette) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Nicko Timonera added 22 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Bankstown Bruins in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bankstown Bruins' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bandits will meet at home Hawks (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bankstown Bruins will play against Norths Soul Sports Bears and hope to get finally their first victory.
