Regular Season Round 3: Newcastle F. - Maitland M. 57-70

There was an upset when Hunters (0-0) lost to Mustangs (1-0) in Broadmeadow 57-70 on Saturday. Mustangs forced 21 Hunters turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Jay Cole who led the winners and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Jack Edwards accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Myles Cherry (203-1998, college: Lafayette) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds and forward Matur Maluach (196, college: UNB) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Hunters in the defeat. Hunters' coach gave the chance to play for twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Mustangs will meet at home Hills Hornets (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hunters will play against Bulls and look forward to get finally their first victory.
