Bulls used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Baulkham Hills 58-56 on Saturday night. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bulls made 13 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized South Sudanese forward Chier Maker (203-1995, college: Idaho St.) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Center Johnny Crnogorac (216-1995, college: UTRGV, agency: Haylett Sports) accounted for 8 points, 14 rebounds and 9 blocks for the winning side. Naturalized British forward Paul Brotherson (198-1989, college: MSU Denver) came up with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Liam Moss added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Hills Hornets in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bulls will meet Hunters (#7) in the next round. Hills Hornets will play against Mustangs in Maitland and look forward to get finally their first victory.
