Everything went according to plan in Hobart where third ranked Kings (15-7) outscored 5th ranked JackJumpers (13-11) 103-83 on Sunday. Kings shot 60.7 percent from the field. Kings had a 36-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by JackJumpers' players. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jaylen Adams (188-1996, college: St.Bonaventure) who scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Xavier Cooks (203-1995, college: Winthrop) chipped in 14 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Josh Adams (188-1993, college: Wyoming) who recorded 18 points and Canadian forward Mikyle McIntosh (201-1994, college: Oregon) added 17 points respectively. Four Kings and five JackJumpers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kings have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 15-7 record behind leader Melbourne. Newly promoted JackJumpers keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. Kings will meet at home league's second-placed Illawarra Hawks in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. JackJumpers will play against Cairns Taipans and hope to secure a win.
