Very predictable result in Auckland where third ranked Kings (17-8) defeated bottom-ranked New Zealand Breakers (5-22) 76-70 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jaylen Adams (188-1996, college: St.Bonaventure) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Canadian guard Dejan Vasiljevic (190-1997, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Kings players scored in double figures. New Zealand forward Yannick Wetzell (208-1996, college: SDSU) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and New Zealand-Irish forward Finn Delany (198-1995, college: SW Baptist) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kings moved-up to second place, which they share with Illawarra. New Zealand Breakers lost ninth consecutive game.
