No shocking result in a game in Northbridge where leader Senators (3-0) defeated 10th ranked Redbacks (1-3) 73-65 on Thursday. Senators dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Redbacks' 32. Senators forced 19 Redbacks turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Natalie Burton (194-1989, college: WVU) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds (on 15-of-19 shooting from the field). Guard Stacey Barr (173-1992, college: Idaho) helped adding 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Senators' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side power forward Shenae Hartree (184-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Kayonna Lee (185, college: Central Mo.) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds.
