Magic can celebrate finally their first win this season after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Lightning (0-2) 104-88 on Thursday. Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Lightning's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Lightning's players. Guard Kyle Armour (183-1989, college: Augusta) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Jay Bowie (196-1992, college: Marist) chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Magic's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Nicholas Palleschi (180-1995) with 15 points, 8 assists and 4 steals and guard Benjamin Lee (188-94) scored 19 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Magic (1-2) left bottom position moving up to ninth place in League. Loser Lightning still closes the standings with two games lost. Magic will meet higher ranked Redbacks (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lightning will play against Flames (#5) in Rockingham and hopes to get finally their first victory.
