Regular Season Round 7: Hills H. - Albury LB 53-90

There was an upset in Baulkham Hills where much higher ranked Hills Hornets (3-2) were crushed by sixth ranked Lady Bandits (2-1) 90-53 on Sunday. Lady Bandits made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Lady Bandits outrebounded Hills Hornets 53-38 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Hills Hornets' players. It was a great evening for American center Lauren Jackson (190, college: Lindsey Wilson) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. Japanese guard Ai Yamada (170-1995) helped adding 20 points and 6 assists. At the losing side Rhiannon Yetsenga responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Cassandra Pentney (169-1994) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Lady Bandits moved-up to third place in League which they share with defeated Hills Hornets. Loser Hills Hornets dropped to the third position with two games lost. Lady Bandits will meet at home league's second-placed Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hills Hornets will have a break next round.
