There was a surprise result in Cotton Tree where leader Rollers (1-0) edged higher ranked Phoenix (1-2) 90-88 on Friday. Rollers made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. The former international guard Jason Cadee (186-1991) fired 26 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-1991, college: Pittsburgh) chipped in 26 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Rollers' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. New Zealand guard Mason Bragg (182-1993) produced 25 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Darnell Robateau (185, college: PLNU) added 23 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) respectively for lost side. Four Phoenix players scored in double figures. Rollers left bottom position moving up to third place in League. Loser Phoenix dropped to the fourteenth position with two games lost. Rollers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Phoenix will play against Seahawks (#11) in Runaway Bay and hope to win that game.
