Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Brisbane Spartans (0-2) were rolled over at home by leader Thunder (1-0) 97-72 on Saturday. Thunder made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Brisbane Spartans turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Brisbane Spartans' players. Naturalized Danish guard Rasmus Bach (193-1995, college: Fort Lewis) fired 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Boston Mazlin (189-2002) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists. Guard Chris Cedar (188-1988) produced 16 points and Marial Mandol added 10 points respectively for lost side.
