Regular Season Round 13: Rockingham F. - Eastern Suns 105-93

Very predictable result in Rockingham where third ranked Flames (5-1) defeated 12th ranked Suns (1-6) 105-93 on Saturday. They outrebounded Suns 39-26 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Devondrick Walker (196-1992, college: A&M-Commerce) fired 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Forward Greg Hire (201-1987, college: Augusta) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Tom Atkinson (198-1998) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Albert Almanza (198, college: SHSU) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Suns' coach gave the chance to play for twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Flames moved-up to second place in League. Loser Suns keep the twelfth position with six games lost. Flames will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Suns will play against Eagles (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
