There was no surprise in McKinnon where 8th ranked Sharks (1-8) were defeated by third ranked Cougars (5-3) 73-57 on Sunday. Cougars outrebounded Sharks 50-34 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Katie Bluzer who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Claire Ioannidis (170, college: UNF) helped adding 11 points and 9 assists. Fiona Darnell responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Eryn Rosowski scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Cougars maintains third place in League with 5-3 record having just five point less than leader Norths Bears. Loser Sharks keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Cougars will meet at home league's second-placed Devils in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sharks will play against Jets (#6) in Sunbury and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
