The game in Mount Waverley supposed to be also quite interesting. 6th ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (3-2) played at the court of seventh ranked Waverley Falcons (3-2). Waverley Falcons smashed NW Tasmania Thunder 95-69 on Sunday. Waverley Falcons dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to NW Tasmania Thunder's 34. They outrebounded NW Tasmania Thunder 44-31 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Waverley Falcons especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The winners were led by guard Jake Heath (185, college: SD Mines) who scored that evening 30 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and power forward Simon Conn (206-1983, college: Gardner-Webb) supported him with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Four Waverley Falcons players scored in double figures. Waverley Falcons' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds by Angok Anyang did not help to save the game for NW Tasmania Thunder. Isaac Atuer added 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for lost side. Waverley Falcons maintains seventh position in League with 3-2 record. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
