No shocking result in a game in Terrigal where fourth ranked Sharks (5-1) defeated 9th ranked Crusaders (1-5) 89-78 on Sunday. Sharks forced 22 Crusaders turnovers. International guard Lauren Nicholson (183-1993, college: St.Mary's, CA) stepped up and scored 40 points (!!!) and 9 assists (made all of her fifteen free throws !!!) for the winners and forward Madeleine Norris (188-1998) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side swingman Sara Matthews (174-2002) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Darneka Rowe (174-1993) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sharks moved-up to second place in League. Loser Crusaders keep the ninth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
