There was no surprise when 5th ranked Magic (5-3) was outleveled by top-ranked Buccaneers (8-0) in Wonthella 111-85 on Saturday. Buccaneers outrebounded Magic 37-25 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 59.4 percentage. Buccaneers looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Buccaneers made 7 blocks. Naturalized South Sudanese swingman Mathiang Muo (196-1987, college: Charleston So.) notched a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from downtown making all nine shots !!!) to lead the effort and American guard Shaun Stewart (183-1994, college: Limestone, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) supported him with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Even 25 points and 5 rebounds by American swingman Jay Bowie (196-1992, college: Marist) did not help to save the game for Magic. Byron Pearson added 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Magic's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Buccaneers maintains first position in League with 8-0 record. Loser Magic dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
