There was a surprise result when eighteenth ranked Bendigo Braves (1-5) beat at home higher ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (2-4) 90-74 on Saturday. Bendigo Braves forced 24 Diamond Valley Eagles turnovers. Naturalized South Sudanese guard Kuany Kuany (201-1994, college: Chaminade) notched 24 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Senegalese center Sidy Djitte (208-1994, college: Clemson) supported him with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Four Bendigo Braves players scored in double figures. Even 32 points and 4 assists by naturalized Canadian guard Dejan Vasiljevic (190-1997, college: Miami, FL) did not help to save the game for Diamond Valley Eagles. The former international forward Dane Pineau (206-1994, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 10 points and 13 rebounds. Diamond Valley Eagles' coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
