Regular Season Round 18: Logan T. - USC Rip 109-118
Date: May 21, 2022
Everything could happen in Loganholme at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Rip City and 10th ranked Thunder had identical 1-1 record. But Thunder was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Sippy Downs 118-109 on Saturday night. Rip City looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Naturalized Sudanese forward Kouat Noi (201-1997, college: TCU) notched 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Eric McAlister (204-1990, college: Stony Brook) supported him with 28 points and 7 rebounds. Even 36 points (!!!) (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) by American guard Jeremy Kendle (186-1988, college: Bellarmine) did not help to save the game for Thunder. Naturalized Danish guard Rasmus Bach (193-1995, college: Fort Lewis) added 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Rip City and four Thunder players scored in double figures. Thunder's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rip City (2-1) moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Thunder dropped to the fourteenth position with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
