Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Kilsyth Cobras (5-3) won against at home 13th ranked Dandenong Rangers (2-5) 79-64 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized South Sudanese forward Deng Deng (203-1992, college: Baylor) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Adrian Tomada accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four Kilsyth Cobras players scored in double figures. American guard Jacob Davison (193-1997, college: Cal Poly) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Deng Puoch added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Dandenong Rangers in the defeat. Dandenong Rangers' coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kilsyth Cobras moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Dandenong Rangers dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost. Kilsyth Cobras will meet higher ranked Spectres (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dandenong Rangers will play against Sabres (#11) and hope to secure a win.
