Regular Season Round 18: Waverley F. - Keilor T. 77-84

There was a small surprise in Mount Waverley where fifteenth ranked Thunder (4-5) won against 13th ranked Falcons (4-4) 84-77. Thunder made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. The former international guard Madeleine Garrick (178-1992) notched 40 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and forward Monique Andriuolo (185-1998, college: Pepperdine) supported her with 16 points. Even 18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals by point guard Amelia Todhunter (169-1988) did not help to save the game for Falcons. Forward Renae Mokrzycki (183-1994, college: Idaho) added 19 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Thunder moved-up to fourteenth place in League. Falcons at the other side keep the thirteenth position with four games lost. Thunder's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Melbourne Tigers.
