Important game to mention about took place in Maitland. Eighth ranked Mustangs (5-5) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Bandits (5-5) 90-89 in the game for the sixth place. Mustangs dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Bandits' 22. New Zealand center James Hunter (208-1991, college: S.Dakota) nailed 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Sharif Watson (198-1993, college: ACU) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds. Mustangs' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Naturalized Swiss center Hamish Warden (203-1999, college: NDC) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and guard Lochlan Cummings (189-1995, college: HIU) added 23 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Bandits in the defeat. Five Mustangs and four Bandits players scored in double figures. Mustangs moved-up to sixth place in League.
