We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Gold Coast where 7th ranked Rollers (4-4) were defeated by eighth ranked Cyclones (4-4) 67-57 on Friday. The best player for the winners was American guard Jannon Otto (183-1997, college: UC Riverside) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds. Center Lara McSpadden (193-1999) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Lauren Mansfield (170-1989, college: Iowa St.) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and American center Angela Beadle (190-1993, college: SHSU) added 10 points respectively. Cyclones moved-up to seventh place in League. Cyclones are looking forward to face Seahawks (#13) in Runaway Bay in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rollers will play on the road against Capitals (#5) in Brisbane and are hoping to win this game.
