No shocking result in a game in Booval where ninth ranked Meteorettes (4-6) smashed 12th ranked Force (1-8) 103-77 on Friday. Meteorettes made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Meteorettes made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Miela Goodchild (178-2000, college: Duke) who scored 32 points. Austrian-British forward Ellie Collins (183-1998) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Amanda Cahill (188-1996, college: Indiana, agency: LBM Management) who recorded 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Tia Hay (170, college: Santa Clara) added 19 points respectively. Four Force players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Meteorettes maintains ninth place in League with 4-6 record. Force at the other side keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost. Meteorettes are looking forward to face Pirates (#14) in Runcorn in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Force will have a break next round.
