Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Townsville Heat (2-5) lost to tenth ranked Thunder (4-3) in Hermit Park 80-89 on Saturday. American guard Jeremy Kendle (186-1988, college: Bellarmine) nailed 28 points, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and naturalized Danish guard Rasmus Bach (193-1995, college: Fort Lewis) accounted for 22 points and 10 rebounds. The former international power forward Samson Froling (212-2000, college: Creighton) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and center Matthew Rees (205-1987) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Townsville Heat in the defeat. Four Thunder and five Townsville Heat players scored in double figures. Townsville Heat's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
