Regular Season Round 26: Eastern Suns - Rockingham F. 75-108
Date: June 18, 2022
Very predictable result in Kalamunda where second ranked Flames (9-2) outscored 12th ranked Suns (2-10) 108-75 on Saturday. Flames had a 36-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Naturalized American guard Marshall Nelson (184-1994, college: WBU) scored 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Devondrick Walker (196-1992, college: A&M-Commerce) chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Flames players scored in double figures. American swingman Albert Almanza (198, college: SHSU) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Reece Maxwell (185-1990) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flames maintains second position in League with 9-2 record having just one point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Suns keep the twelfth place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
