No shocking result in a game when second ranked Sharks (8-3) crushed 5th ranked Hills Hornets (5-7) in Baulkham Hills 99-54 on Saturday. Sharks outrebounded Hills Hornets 55-26 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for international guard Lauren Nicholson (183-1993, college: St.Mary's, CA) who led the winners and scored 27 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Naturalized Greek point guard Vanessa Panousis (170-1995, college: Virginia Tech) accounted for 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. Paris Roditis came up with 10 points and 5 assists and guard Cassandra Pentney (169-1994) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Hills Hornets in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sharks maintains second place in League with 8-3 record having just three point less than leader Logan T. Loser Hills Hornets dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
