Regular Season Round 26: Bendigo B. - Dandenong R. 104-61

Date: June 18, 2022
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Bendigo Braves and 15th ranked Dandenong Rangers had identical 3-6 record. This time Bendigo Braves used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Dandenong 104-61 on Saturday night. Bendigo Braves looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American swingman Malcolm Bernard (198-1994, college: Xavier, agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 24 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Mitchell Clarke (186-1999) chipped in 20 points during the contest. Four Bendigo Braves players scored in double figures. Lawson Eales responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and forward Calvin Enge (193-1991) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bendigo Braves maintains fourteenth position in League with 4-6 record. Loser Dandenong Rangers keep the fifteenth place with seven games lost. Bendigo Braves will meet at home higher ranked Frankston Blues (#8) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Dandenong Rangers will play against Ballarat Miners (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
