Another exciting game was played in Park Holme between fifth ranked Norwood Flames and one of their biggest challengers South Adelaide Panthers where Norwood Flames (7-3) beat South Adelaide Panthers (6-4) on the road 85-72. Norwood Flames outrebounded South Adelaide Panthers 40-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. American forward Walter McBride (195-1974, college: Xavier) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 4 assists. Forward Cameron Huefner (201-2001, college: Pitt St.) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Norwood Flames players scored in double figures. American guard Jeremy Smith (190-1991, college: Nicholls St.) replied with 26 points and his fellow American import forward Alexander Starling (198-1989, college: BCU) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for South Adelaide Panthers. Norwood Flames moved-up to fourth place in League. South Adelaide Panthers at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost.
