Regular Season Round 30: Hobart C. - Dandenong R. 107-80
Date: July 1, 2022
Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Dandenong Rangers (4-9) were outscored by second ranked Huskies (10-4) in Hobart 107-80 on Friday. Huskies forced 20 Dandenong Rangers turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Huskies made 7 blocks. The former international center Harrison Froling (211-1998, college: Marquette) notched 28 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and German center Ole Angerstein (208-1995) supported him with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Five Huskies players scored in double figures. Huskies' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds by New Zealand forward Dyson King-Hawea (200-1992) did not help to save the game for Dandenong Rangers. Deng Puoch added 18 points and 7 rebounds. Huskies maintains second position in League with 10-4 record having just one point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Dandenong Rangers keep the fifteenth place with nine games lost. Huskies will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dandenong Rangers will play against NW Tasmania Thunder (#14) in Ulverstone and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
