Regular Season Round 31: Warwick S. - SW Slammers 107-82
Date: July 2, 2022
Very predictable result in Perth where third ranked Senators (11-3) smashed 14th ranked Slammers (1-14) 107-82 on Saturday. Senators forced 20 Slammers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Senators made 10 blocks. The former international guard Kyle Zunic (188-1999, college: Winthrop) fired 21 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Caleb Davis (206-1995, college: SVSU) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Senators players scored in double figures. British swingman Raphell Thomas-Edwards (198-1993, college: Gannon) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Buay Tuach (198-1995, college: LMU, agency: Haylett Sports) added 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Senators moved-up to second place in League. Loser Slammers keep the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
