There was an upset in Sippy Downs where higher ranked Dolphins (7-5) were defeated by eleventh ranked Rip City (4-6) 83-77 on Saturday. Rip City forced 27 Dolphins turnovers. American power forward Ashley Harris (187-1990, college: WSC) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Carlie Smith chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Rip City's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international center Cayla George (193-1989) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Amy Lewis (175-1986, college: Troy) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Four Rip City and five Dolphins players scored in double figures. Rip City moved-up to tenth place in League. Loser Dolphins keep the seventh position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
