Rather expected game in Broadmeadow where 4th placed Hawks (8-6) were defeated by first ranked Hunters (10-2) 78-66 on Saturday. Naturalized British forward Ryan Beisty (200-1995, college: Regis Univ.) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Forward Myles Cherry (203-1998, college: Lafayette) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Four Hunters players scored in double figures. Philip Dopud produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and forward Harry Morris (198-2002) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Hunters maintains first place in League with 10-2 record. Loser Hawks dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Hunters will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hawks will play against Mustangs (#6) in Maitland and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
