Important game to mention about took place in Joondalup. Third ranked Wanneroo (12-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 4th placed Flames (11-5) 91-88 on Friday evening. Strangely Flames outrebounded Wanneroo 46-34 including 19 on the offensive glass. American guard Jonathan Wade (196-1993, college: Norfolk St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import swingman CJ Turnage (201-1995, college: SVSU) accounted for 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Wanneroo's coach David Morrell allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Naturalized American guard Marshall Nelson (184-1994, college: WBU) came up with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Devondrick Walker (196-1992, college: A&M-Commerce) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Flames in the defeat. Five Flames players scored in double figures. Wanneroo moved-up to second place in League. Flames at the other side keep the fourth position with five games lost. Wanneroo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Flames will play at home against Senators (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
