Regular Season Round 35: Blackburn V. - Western Port 61-77

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Melbourne where 6th ranked Vikings (5-12) were defeated by seventh ranked Steelers (5-12) 77-61 on Sunday. Steelers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Vikings' 32. It was a great evening for American guard Troyce Manassa (193-1993, college: SSU, agency: Hamriding Sports Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Matthew Turner (210-1987) helped adding 16 points and 11 rebounds. Edward Bourke responded with 8 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks and American guard Denzel Brito (185-1991, college: Loyola, MD) scored 5 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Steelers moved-up to sixth place in League. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
