Not a big story in a game in Terrigal where 9th ranked Crusaders (4-13) were rolled over by second ranked North Bears (13-3) 98-63 on Sunday. North Bears dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Crusaders' 28. North Bears had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Riley Evans (178, college: Seattle Pacific) who scored 26 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Carla Pitman (180-2004) chipped in 23 points and 8 assists. Five North Bears players scored in double figures. Guard Darneka Rowe (174-1993) produced 13 points and swingman Sara Matthews (174-2002) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Crusaders' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. North Bears maintains second place in League with 13-3 record having seven points less than leader Bendigo LB. Loser Crusaders keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. North Bears will meet Hills Hornets (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Crusaders will have a break next round.
