Everything went according to plan when third ranked Sharks (13-4) outplayed 10th ranked Mustangs (3-14) in Maitland 98-55 on Saturday. Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Mustangs' 36. Sharks forced 28 Mustangs turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Mustangs' players. The winners were led by forward Madeleine Norris (188-1998) who scored that evening 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard Lauren Nicholson (183-1993, college: St.Mary's, CA) supported her with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals. Sharks' coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 16 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists by swingman Mikaela Dombkins (181-1986) did not help to save the game for Mustangs. Hannah Griffin added 18 points and 5 rebounds. Sharks maintains third position in League with 13-4 record having eight points less than leader Bendigo LB. Loser Mustangs keep the tenth place with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
