Rather predictable result in Marden where second ranked Forestville Eagles (14-4) outscored 4th placed Norwood Flames (10-8) 114-72 on Saturday. Forestville Eagles forced 19 Norwood Flames turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Jack Purchase (203-1995, college: Hawaii) stepped up and scored 27 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and naturalized South Sudanese forward Malith Machar (198, college: Midland CC) chipped in 28 points and 5 rebounds. Five Forestville Eagles players scored in double figures. Swingman Luca Barei (195-2003) responded with 15 points and American center Anthony Green (208-1996, college: Northeastern) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forestville Eagles maintains second place in League with 14-4 record having just two points less than leader Canberra G. Loser Norwood Flames keep the fourth position with eight games lost.
