Everything went according to plan in Cheltenham where fifth ranked Sabres (13-6) won against 16th ranked Thunder (6-13) 89-80 on Saturday. Sabres shot 21 for 28 from the free-throw line, while Thunder only scored five points from the stripe. New Zealand guard Shea Ili (184-1992) stepped up and scored 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Campbell Blogg chipped in 27 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Jacob Lampkin (206, college: Alaska-Anch.) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Carlo Camp scored 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sabres moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Thunder keeps the sixteenth position with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
