Twelfth-ranked Roar (5-14) made lots of trouble for leader Thunder (20-0) in Brisbane on Sunday. The visitors from Loganholme managed to secure only three-point victory 80-77. However their fans expected much easier game. Thunder looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Mikaela Ruef (191-1990, college: Stanford) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 21 rebounds. Austrian guard Sigrid Koizar (173-1995, college: Maine) chipped in 22 points and 8 assists. Four Thunder players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Mia Loyd (181-1994, college: N.Dakota) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Ariana Moorer (172-1991, college: Virginia) added 18 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Thunder maintains first place in League with 20-0 record. Roar at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
